I’m always asked, “What are your favorite beauty products?”—and honestly, I find that question hard to answer. My role as Bazaar ’s beauty director requires me to test hundreds, if not thousands, of launches yearly, so my favorites change daily as I discover what’s new. I’m not alone in this. My colleagues also have access to the best that beauty has to offer, not to mention that they have exceptional taste, which makes them keepers of so many must-have recommendations across skincare , haircare , body care , makeup, and more. The list below represents the top beauty products we all tried and loved in August, organized in one handy list. Happy shopping!

“I’ve taken a hiatus from foundation for months, choosing instead to go with lighter skin tints or balms. So many foundations end up looking patchy, or cakey, or accentuate parts of my skin I would rather ignore. That’s why you can trust that Westman Atelier’s new foundation is really good —I started using it daily. It has medium coverage that blurs and smooths, perfect for those of us over 35 or with combination-to-dry skin. Plus, it’s packed with peptides and botanical extracts that keep skin looking healthy and hydrated even after you take it off.” — Jenna Rosenstein, beauty director
“Did you hear? Old Navy has beauty now! I love finding a bargain beauty deal, and these $8 body washes from Old Navy are fantastic. They gently cleanse and moisturize with aloe vera, glycerin, and vitamin E, but also come in cute bottles with great, trendy scents. My favorites are Amber Vibe and Fresh Splash.” — JR
“A glossy lip liner is something I didn’t know I needed until I tried one. This is the softest, creamiest, prettiest lip liner for those of us with thin or dry lips. It helps keep my balms and glosses from crossing out of bounds, but it’s also so nice to wear on its own.” — JR
“I was so pleasantly surprised by this exfoliating face wash from Alix Earle’s skincare line! I don’t have acne-prone skin, but I do get hormonal breakouts on occasion, and this gel cleanser with LHAs and BHAs definitely helped. It swiftly removes makeup, leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh, and isn’t too drying. I like to let it sit on my skin for a minute before rinsing so the acids have time to work.” — JR
“On one of my first summer vacations in Greece, I got hooked on this body cream. I love the soft sheen and texture it gives your skin, especially after a day on the beach. I'm also a huge fan of the olive blossom smell that always brings me back to lazy summer days on that Greek isle.” — Miguel Enamorado, accessories director
“Belmont Cameli’s perfect curls in the steamy commercial, with George Michael's “Freedom” playing, for sure made me want to try this—and it's just under eight dollars. I felt, why not? Let me just say that it does not disappoint, and my hair and curls have never looked better. I also love it the next day, when I wake up with a voluminous wave to my hair. Highly recommend it!” — ME
