Voller: Germany National Team Excited for World Cup

Rudi Völler, the sports director of the German Football Association, said on Tuesday that his national team is very excited to compete in the upcoming World Cup, which will kick off on Thursday.

Völler said after the German team's training at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in the southeastern United States: "I feel everyone's excitement for the start of the matches, and it's certainly going to happen as soon as possible."

He added that there are also positive indicators after confirming the readiness of veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to participate in the first match against Curaçao next Sunday.

Völler said about Neuer: "There is nothing to worry about; everything is going well, and he has returned to participate in team training."

Völler, the former star of the German national team at 66 years old, continued: "All the players are in peak physical condition, and that is the most important thing in any major tournament," repeatedly confirming that everyone is very excited.

Away from the atmosphere of Germany's first match, which will take place in North Carolina, Rudi Völler intends to attend the opening match between Mexico, one of the tournament hosts, against South Africa, and then plans to travel to New York to attend the opening of the German Football House.
