A peak inside CNN's Atlanta newsroom. Courtesy CNN By Mark Mwachiro --> Top of the Ticker : Regular CNN viewers were greeted with pixelated images during the noon ET hour on Monday as the network suffered a technical issue that affected audio and video.
The technical issues occurred during a panel discussion on Inside Politics with Dana Bash , forcing the network to go temporarily off air. The interruption lasted more than 30 minutes, which CNN acknowledged in a social media post.

Once the feed was restored, Bash spoke of the hiccup at 12:51 p.m. ET, saying, “Welcome back and we are back. There was a technical issue across Warner Bros. Discovery’s channels that resulted in losing our signal. We’re very sorry for the interruption.”
According to CNN’s Brian Stelter , during the disruption “viewers may have experienced different impacts” depending on which distribution platforms they used. The issue also affected CNN’s sister networks, including HBO.

Awards : Former 60 Minutes correspondents Scott Pelley and Cecilia Vega were announced as finalists for the 2026 Gerald Loeb Awards, which recognize reporting and storytelling that advances public understanding of business, finance, and the economy. Pelley is a finalist for the Video News Award for his 60 Minutes piece on The Price of Life, which aired in December 2025, while Vega was a finalist for her piece on The Family Farm, which aired in November 2025. Also announced as a finalist is NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Llamas , who was named a finalist for the broadcast’s The Coast of Denial series, one of Llamas’ first franchises since taking over as Nightly News’ anchor. Gerald Loeb winners will be announced live at the Loeb Awards Banquet and Celebration on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Capitale in New York City.
